They client wanted to include an illustration of the ‘Pont Valentré’ which is a 4th-century six-span fortified stone arch bridge crossing the Lot River to the west of Cahors.
This was a great opportunity to flex my illustration skills. By using a variation of high build inks within the typography and coarse paper stock, I managed to achieve a design which felt premium within the market, but still had an authentic feel through the etched style illustration which
as intended to be the main focal point.
